A petition of almost 57,000 signatures indicates that this feeling is widespread across the country.
“It’s an indication that people are feeling unsafe, rattled,” he said.
“It really hits home.”
Stanford pleaded guilty to being an accessory after the fact of murder after his twin brother raped and killed Leeton school teacher Stephanie Scott last year.
He was sentenced to 15 months in prison, which was backdated to when he was taken into custody on June 10, 2015.
People will meet at the Soldiers Club end of the main street Friday at 5pm and march toward the shopping centre and park.
A printed version of the petition will be handed to member for Murray Adrian Piccoli along the way.
“I honestly think and really hope that there will be an appeal against the sentence,” Mr Norval said.
He believes 10 years in prison with no parole is a more suitable punishment.
