CHRISTMAS decorations are beginning to appear, which means it is time for LHS students to think about two things – exams and presents.
History has shown repeatedly that improved results in the former, and in the report that follows, leads to a better harvest on December 25.
The all-important year 10 exams will be held in week four, followed by years 7 to 9 in weeks five and six.
With each recent junior examination period the school has noticed a greater improvement in the attitude and effort that students are bringing into the room and advises everyone to begin revising today.

THANKS to careers adviser Trish Papalkar, TAFE Riverina, Jodie Ryan (Verto) and Judith Dahlenburg (Alf Herrmann Lodge) who have united to enable year 10 student Emma Bush to begin a school based apprenticeship/Traineeship in aged care.
Emma will work one day per week and her TAFE studies will be included as part of her Higher School Certificate.

HSC exams are in full swing and the iStudy room is doubling as an excellent examination venue.
Students deserve commendation for the manner in which they have created a quiet zone around the venue in support of the year 12 students.

IF YOU are, or were, in town this morning you may have seen four of our students volunteering for Pink Ribbon Day.
Graduating classes have shown the way for community service and generosity and their leadership has clearly influenced younger members of the school who expressed interest in helping in vast numbers.
