Held each year, the roundup attracts hundreds of people to town, but this year organisers have again decided to change the event up a little.
For the first time in 2015, the event was moved to the Leeton Jockey Club for an outdoor-style concert series.
This year that will again be the case, but visitors to town will also be given the opportunity to take tours around the shire and learn about what makes Leeton unique.
In addition to the jam-packed program, there will also be a competition that will involve visitors popping into stores in town, which will not only help earn the prize, but encourage them to spend money in town.
Co-organiser of the event Sharon Benjamin said the idea was to encourage visitors to get to know Leeton better.
“Everything is pretty much all in place, we’re looking forward to a big event,” she said.
“We’re hoping not just too get people from out-of-town come along, but also Leeton residents.
“It’s for everyone and it’s a great weekend of entertainment.”
Festivities will officially get underway on Wednesday evening with a live radio broadcast before continuing on Thursday with what will be known as a “smoko and talent show”.
Those wanting to perform need just attend on the day, which will also be the case at an open mic night later that evening.
The smoko and talent show will again feature Friday before a “party night” gets the weekend rocking.
Close to 12 hours of live entertainment will take to the stage on Saturday, with dozens of artists performing.
They will include Bec Hance, Reg Poole, who is a three-time Golden guitar winner, Amos Morris, Errol Gray, Cameron Mason and more.
The final day of festivities will be held on Sunday, with a poet’s breakfast and main stage finale concert all on the agenda.
Each year the roundup also raises vital funds for Leeton shire community groups and charities.
This year the committee organised an event mid-year that also contributed to the same cause. Obviously the main aim is to provide high-quality entertainment and a fun weekend for everyone,” Ms Benjamin said.
“However, raising money is also a big part of it.”
This year’s major beneficiaries will be the Leeton Volunteer Rescue Association, Gralee School and Meals on Wheels.
Those attending the concert will be able to bring a chair, find a spot under a tree and enjoy the many musical stylings throughout the weekend. Undercover options are available.
