Riverina growers and agribusiness leaders met in Griffith recently to focus on practical wet weather tactics coming into the season.
The workshop was for growers of rice, cotton and more.
They heard from guest speakers in ways to deal with the problems that have arisen from continued wet weather.
Hosted by the Irrigation Research Extension Committee, chairman Rob Houghton was pleased with the turnout.
“I thought it was a very productive forum,” he said.
“There was plenty of discussion.
“It’s been a different year for growers because of all the rain we’ve had.”
Adding to the day was Neville Brady, a former AFL player, who spoke about men’s health and strategies for conflict and stress management.
“That was something that was very well received,” Mr Houghton said.
