Officers attended a home in Blackwood Street in Wattle Hill on Wednesday afternoon on “unrelated matters”, but soon discovered cannabis plants as a result of a search of the home.
Griffith Local Area Command Inspector Nick Seddon said a 58-year-old woman had been charged.
“Police were there for an unrelated matter and, during a search of the backyard, found four cannabis plants,” he said.
“The plants were about 30 centimetres high.
“As a result the woman has been issued with a court attendance notice and charged with cultivating a prohibited plant.”
The arrest comes after police discovered a large amount of cannabis plants at a home on Koonadan Road last week.
