Golfers had a month over the period to complete round 12, with Leeton golf professional Jason Mimmo describing the final tally of 538 as “whopping”.
“Some teams used the period as a chance to smash the rounds in and others used it as a break to freshen up for the remainder of the season,” he said.
“The Munchausens remain atop of the championship division and amazingly produced 53 of the 538 rounds themselves as opposed to the Unquenchables who completed one round thanks to Matt Piper’s 36.”
The player of the round was the Fedex Champs’ Justin Smith with a corking nett 25.
Smith takes out the honour over Matt Fraumeni, who had his best round for nett 28.
Other notable rounds came from Peter Hodge 29, Ben Murphy 30, Johnny Russell 30, Hayden Blowes 30, Ian Hugo 30, Danny Boardman 30 and Kev Hollis 30.
Rod Ryan 31, Christine Harrison 31, Darren Jaensch 31 were also handy, with Chris Butler shooting a par round off the bat for a nett 32.
The ball competition went to 34.
“Guns n Roses were the best performed team of the break with a 13 under par nett total of 167,” Mimmo said.
“The Fed Ex Champs, Dirty Sanchez, Schitnoes, Munchausens and the Superwash Mates all returned 10 under par 170 nett totals with the Super Imposers next on 172.”
Twilighters have been reminded the competition is now into round 13 and the usual weekly schedule in back in place.
Mimmo also reminded players to get their teams in for the popular three-person Ambrose event, which will be held on Australia Day.
“It’s 12 holes, with players encouraged to wear their best Aussie outfits,” he said.
“Tee times are from 8am to 11am.”
