Officers from Griffith Local Area Command conducted an operation titled “Barb”, which focused on alcohol-related crime and anti-social behaviour throughout the weekend.
No serious offences were recorded, with police only having to issue various move-on notices during the early hours of Saturday morning.
A group of youths were asked to leave the Mountford Park area about 1.45am on Saturday, with police focusing on the area as it can be known to attract “anti-social behaviour” during those times.
Police also moved on a group embroiled in a verbal argument about 1.25am on Saturday.
“All directions were followed and residents did as police asked,” Inspector Kim Traynor said.
