Convoys of trucks have piled into Darlington Point will hit the road early Thursday morning for their three-day journey to Queensland to help farmers suffering in drought conditions.
The latest run will finish in Muttaburra, with the loads of hay to help many farmers feed their livestock along the way.
Organiser and Leeton farmer Brendan Farrell has again received support from truck drivers and companies, as well as residents donating to help cover fuel costs.
There have also been donations of hay and money from across the country.
The hay run has continued to garner a name for itself, with residents happy to jump on board and help where they can.
Mr Farrell said the original hay run was held in 2013 and had grown at a staggering rate.
“On day one the plan was to take one truck,” he said.
“Last time we had 405 trucks and trailers and next time we’ll have between 400 and 500.”
“We’ve had a lot of help.
“There's no way in the world anyone could organise something like this without a lot of dedicated people.”
