The performing students and the LHS food service volunteers did a magnificent job and the feedback from the evening has been amazing.

THE Leeton High School open girls cricket side participated in the annual T20 gala day held at the LHS bottom ovals recently.
The first game of the day saw Leeton High up against the unknown Griffith High. Griffith High batted first and made a respectable 56 off their allotted 20 overs. Paris Crelley was the pick of the Leeton High bowlers claiming 3 for 6 off her 5 overs. Leeton High chased down the runs in 7 overs with Paris Crelley scoring 22 and Jenna Elliott 9.
The next game had Leeton High take on the RAP team. RAP batted first and scored 1 for 67 off their 20 overs. Some tight bowling and excellent fielding helped restrict the total. Paris (29 not out) and Jenna (10) set about chasing down the total. The one and only wicket fell on 44. Riley Cowling-Jones (1 not out) joined Paris at the crease to cruise past the RAP tally in the 9th over. Thanks girls for your fantastic attitude and effort at training and your sportsmanship at the gala day. Thanks also to Caleb Watson and Rhett MacGregor for umpiring.

Twenty students from all around the Riverina, including seven from Leeton High School, showed up, teed up and despite battling the elements had a fantastic yet challenging day on the well-manicured layout. The local contingency of Kurt Bloomfield, Boyd Williams, Caleb Watson, Zac Fairweather, Kai Schmetzer, Hayden Mahalm and Talise Rudd acquitted themselves admirably.
A huge congratulations is extended to all the students and especially to Hayden Mahalm who was victorious in the 18 holes handicap event and to Talise Rudd who, for the second consecutive year, has gained selection in the Riverina girls team.
