Successful start after Wagga move

Two games into their return to Wagga football and Leeton United have hit the ground running.

While the club is in no way getting ahead of itself, the first-grade side is pleased it has been able to get its season off to a good start.

They started with a 1-0 win over Wagga United and then backing it up with another 1-0 win this time at home over Tolland.

United will face a tough task if they want to continue their unbeaten run when they travel to Rawlings Park to take on Lake Albert on Saturday with scheduled for 7.30pm

Lake Albert is looking like the team to beat heading into the clash having seen off their first two games in convincing fashion starting with an 8-0 win of South Wagga.

They backed it up with a 3-1 win away from home against Junee and are only sitting in second on goal difference to Cootamundra.
