President of the Yanco All-Serviceman’s Club Jim Morrison feels it is important for small communities to come together and reflect.
“I think it is really important that Yanco has its own service,” he said.
“We have kids turning up and you don’t want them to forget about the importance of this day.”
Mr Morrison was pleased with the turnout at this year’s observance.
“I think we had 50-60 people in here which is about the same as last year,” he said.
“It is a pretty good turnout for such a small place.
“It is great to see them come out and remember the fallen.”
