Eli Doyle, Flynn Anthony, Arlo Ciavarella, Kayden Hillier, Tom Cooper and Sari Leighton travelled up to Sydney and returned with a range of success.
Competing in the 10 years 50m backstroke, 50m butterfly and 50m freestyle, Flynn was representing the school at his fourth state carnival.
Due to his successful races, he made the selection for the all aged Riverina relay and competed against the fastest swimmers from the other regions from across the state.
Sari was also successful in her 9 years 50m freestyle and from there was also selected in the all aged Riverina girls relay team.
Sari, competing at state for the second time, was happy with how she performed.
“Last year I went I didn't know what to do,” she said.
“Whereas this time I felt a bit more confident.”
Eli Doyle competed with success in the 9-years boys 50m freestyle event and then combining with Tom, Arlo and Kayden to compete in the junior boy's relay.
Tom said his mum was the reason for their success
“She had us training together four times a week,” he said.
"We were doing laps to warm up and practising our kicking so that when we were tired, we could just keep kicking.”
The young swimmer felt the best part about competing was not just being with friends but also the spa in the marshalling area.
“They had a little pool which was warm,” he said.
“ You could sit in there while you were waiting.”
Assistant principal, Catherine Tabain, was proud of how the kids represented their school.
“It’s great for kids from a smaller area to compete against kids with better access to facilities,” she said.
