In what will also be the Crows first home game of the season they will look to extract a bit of revenge for their two-point grand final defeat last season.
Coach Jade Hodge knows in the grand scheme this is just another match.
“The boys have been waiting for this game for a while,” he said.
“We know that this is by no means a redemption game.
“You have to work all season for that.”
Hodge was pleased with his sides start to the season with an 18-point win over a good Swans side and the game went as the coach expected it to.
“We knew there would be ups and downs, it was the first game of the season,” he said.
“We have been working on our consistency this week at training.
“We started well last week but faded in the middle and that will come as we play more games.”
Training has been mainly focused on the side reaching its potential and perfecting the game plan.
Hodge is expecting it to be the theme of their season moving forward.
The Crows find themselves in a position most clubs could only dream of having 25 players who are all knocking on the door for first team selection.
“I will be sitting down with the selection panel tonight (Wednesday) and working it out,” he said
“We still aren’t 100 percent sure what the team.
“It is great that we have so many players knocking on the door.”
Hodge knows going into the game to expect a quick affair.
“If last year is anything to read into they will be quick across the field,” he said.
“They like to slingshot off halfback, so we will need to be aware of that.
“We were good last week, so we will need to continue that the control their young players.
“If we can do that I’m pretty confident we can come away with the victory.”
The defending champion Tigers are looking to get their title defence underway having had the first week off because of a bye.
