It was a tough game for the Greens as they closed out the game with a two point win against the Griffith side.
It was through inefficient kicking from the Black and Whites who scored more tries than the Greens but only kicked two conversions.
Greens kicker Matthew Arnold went five from five with the boot and ended up making the difference.
Leeton had to fight back after being behind heading into half time and the fight back should have them in a good position to take on Hay.
The Magpies are coming into this clash following a utter dismantling by Darlington Point Coleambally.
They finished there season opener with a scoreline of 74-10 in a fair from optimal start following their first round bye.
In the two meeting between the two sides last season Leeton had a clear edge over the Magpies.
The round one encounter in Hay was a close match however the Greens were able to get over the line with a 20-12 win.
It was a different story in the return game in Leeton where the Greens flexed their muscles and ran away 48-6 winners.
The game between the two is set to start at around 3pm on Sunday in Hay.
