However, a roadshow that is coming to Leeton promises to spice up those words so residents know exactly how the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) will affect them.
A rural NDIS roadshow explaining how the program can support people living with a mental health issue will come to Leeton on May 30.
Hosted by Flourish Australia, the event will assist people to understand the NDIS. The session is for people with a mental health issue, their families and friends and anyone with an interest in mental health.
“The NDIS is a game changer when it comes to the provision of disability supports,” Flourish Australia Leeton manager Julie Wilson said.
“By providing personalised funding that goes directly to individuals, the NDIS puts individuals in charge of deciding what they need to enjoy the life they want.” The event will be held on May 30 from 10am to noon at the Leeton Soldiers Club.
