The St Vincent de Paul annual winter appeal is hoping to again combat some of that pain and Leeton residents can play a part.
Donations of blankets, warm clothing, sturdy shoes, school uniforms and other winter items are all being accepted at the town’s St Vincent de Paul store in Kurrajong Avenue.
Monetary donations are also welcome and will be used to aid those that are struggling.
Leeton conference president Eileen Edwards said the Leeton community was always generous.
“Everyone is very giving and supportive of us,” she said.
“It’s always important to support the appeal.
“We help many people.
“These donations go a long way in doing that.”
With the cost of living continuing to rise, residents of all ages are struggling.
Anyone that can donate to the appeal can do so in store or visit https://winterappeal.vinnies.org.au.
