I’m sure many watched coverage with a heavy heart.
Australians have such a love affair for the “mother country” and have visited London and all throughout England.
It almost seems as though it’s a certain right of passage many Australians feel they have to take.
Which raises the questions – should this continue?
Of course it should.
There are no ifs or buts about it.
If any Australians out there reconsider there travel plans to places like England, France or anywhere else in Europe then has the saying goes “the terrorists have won”.
It’s an argument had many times over, but any time a disaster happens, whether it’s terror-related or perhaps natural disaster – the advice is always the same.
Do not stop yourself from visiting these places.
After having a conversation with someone recently detailing an upcoming trip to America, advice received was “you should really re-think going there”.
That is absolutely advice one will not be taking.
Putting off this trip or not going at all isn’t an option.
The view everyone needs to take is to continue living life as normal and not altering it because there is a certain element of being afraid something “might” happen.
Life cannot be put on hold for situations that may or may not happen.
Sure, a crystal ball would be handy, but that’s not available.
The best thing everyone can do is live their lives to the full and take advantage of opportunities, particularly ones that involve travel, when they arise.
Life is already short enough without worrying about what could happen should we step out of our comfort zone.
At the end of the day, the unfortunate fact of life is, horrible things happen each and every day.
Whether they are accidents or something that happens, like these attacks, by the deliberate hand of someone.
There is not point being scared as the other morbid fact of life is we aren’t going to be here forever.
Life life to the absolute full. That is what the terrorists hate.
