L&D

L&D have come out victorious, with two teams winning the Open fours and Open triples Regional Championships in Albury.

Open Fours were Joan Lloyd, Jan Walker, Lorraine Mullins (subbing for Judy Heness) and Elaine Sullivan. They were lucky enough to score a bye in the first round and went straight into the finals against Gundagai.

It was a nail-biting ending, with the score level on the last end, our girls came home, winning 23-20. 

Our Senior Fours lost to Albury Commercial 26-8.

Our Open Triples were Joan Lloyd, Dot Semmler and Jan Walker. They won their finals against Albury Commercial 28-6. 

The Senior Pairs lost in the first round to Culcairn. The two winning teams will travel to Taren Point in October to compete in the State Championships.

LSC

The first round of the Drawn Triples Championship proved to be an exciting match. In the end the stronger team of Jan Munroe, Joan Watson and Lorraine McKellar had a narrow win.

Drawn winners for the day were Jan Munroe, Joan Watson and Lorraine McKellar with Lorraine gaining a resting toucher. 

The second round of the Triples Championship will be played this week with Lorraine McKellar’s team versing Betty Howard’s team.
