Already this week there have been two top notch performances of Legally Blonde Jr and the two night shows on Friday and Saturday won’t disappoint.
LHS principal Meagan Crelley said there was plenty of buzz around the school this week. “This has been well over 12 months in the planning and nearly the same amount of time in practice,” she said.
“Students, teachers and parents have given so much of their time to do this – before school, lunchtimes and weekends. We are so happy for them to see the final result of all their hard work.
“We have such a wonderful group of talented and dedicated performers and helpers and we want to see them light up the stage.”
Two matinee performances were held on Wednesday and Thursday with hundreds of school students and residents turning out in full force.
Students from years 7 to 12 are all involved in the production, ensuring they have all taken on a certain ownership of the musical. “I am astounded by the depth of talent at this school,” Mrs Crelley said.
“These students have wholeheartedly thrown themselves into this performance and it is a real credit to them and to our school. Performances like this provide student with the opportunity to learn and develop new skills … outside the classroom.”
It’s not too late to snap up a ticket. They are available at the MPC door Friday and Saturday night from 6.15pm. The audience must be seated at 6.45pm.
