Under 15s 

LAST week Jack Frost greeted the boys and this week it was pea soup as a thick fog covered the Ardlethan Sports Ground.

The Crows only had 19 players, but this gave all the boys much required game time.

Will Aliendi made the most of his opportunities kicking a sneaky goal, Jhie Deaton got involved in a number of contest, taking a great mark and finished it off with a beautiful centering pass to the un-manned Harry Steele who kicked one of his two goals.

Blake Ryan cut off many of the Jets forward entries and used the ball well to make sure the junior crows outfit maintained control of the ball.

Taj Doyle was strong in the contest, and gave the Crows plenty of forward opportunities.

Myles Jackson got himself in good defensive positioning and was smooth and precise when running the ball out of the back half.

Jack Coelli ran everywhere and jagged himself a vital goal. Jackson Guildford put in a standout performance of the half backline, his attack on the ball and man is second to none and his straight running with the ball generated many attacking opportunities for the Crows.

He also added his nomination for goal of the year with a freak goal from an impossible angle.

Ethan De Paoli’s run and carry was influential and Jayden Broadbent showed a great desire and willingness to get the boys over the line.

Under 13s

THE under 13s came up against a competitive Jets side and were looking to consolidate a top three position on the ladder. 

The boys were led by Cooper Purtill, the Ryan twins, Will Handsaker, Chris Ianelli and Ben Tyson. They were tested throughout the game and the lead seesawed during all four quarters. They eventually wore down the Jets and won 5.3.33 to 4.0.24.

Under 11s 

THE young Crows had their best win of the year in their top-of-the-table clash against the Northern Jets on Sunday.

The Crows were committed from the first bounce with midfielders Shannon Lehmann, Jude Clayton, Luca Deaton and Cody McCallum winning plenty of hard ball around the contest against some bigger bodied opponents.

This allowed time and space for the Crows elite ball users to create opportunities for creative forwards Tallis McMillan, Harrison Seymour, Matty Wallett, and Jay Longford providing the Crows with an 8 point advantage at the first break.

The Jets put the clamps on the hard-running Crows after quarter, but the Crows eventually ran out nine-point winners to be a game clear on top. 

Teams will travel to Barellan on Sunday this weekend.
