THE under 11s had a comfortable 72-point victory over Barellan on Sunday.
The Crows assisted Barellan on the day by providing them with some players to fill their side and it was a credit to these players who gave everything for the Two Blues.
Barellan were in the contest up until half-time, making it difficult for the Crows to move the ball freely. ‘
After the break, the Crows class prevailed highlighted by a stunning passage of play that began on the last line of defence with James Rourke winning a contested ball and then delivering a precise kick to running defender Christian Werner.
He linked up with Jude Clayton on the wing. Clayton then delivered the ball into the forward line where a chain of unselfish handballs involving Matty Puntereiro, Harry Odewhan, and Matty Wallett resulted in Jordan Lloyd kicking his first major for the year.
Clayton, Werner, Rourke, and skipper Jonny Bailey were standouts, while wingman Jhie Paton played his best game for the year.
Under 13s
THE under 13s assisted a very under-manned Barellan team and provided top up players to ensure a competitive game was had by all the boys.
Ethan DePaoli contiunues to develop his skills and won many contested possessions during the game.
Dylan Gordon continues to utilise his strength and Cohen Matthews was at his “goal sneak” best down forward.
Jack Coelli had his best game of the season, while Ben Tyson was strong and brave going into contests with no fear or concern for the knocks his body was going to receive.
All boys are starting to hit some real form as the competition enters the back end of the season before finals.
On a pleasing note new recruit Jett Lui showed he will be a real asset as we enter the back end of the season and the finals.
He was a great target down forward and his ability to kick straight and long will greatly assist the team. The final score was 14.8.95 to 5.5.35.
Under 15s
THERE were no scores available for the under 15s, who remain on top of the ladder in their division ahead of Narrandera in second.
