After winning the MIA Paul Kelly Cup Title in May, the school progressed to the Southern NSW stage of the event and produced a memorable day of football to be crowned champions for the very first time.
The opening fixture of the day had Parkview take on Wagga-based Henschke Primary School, winning by seven points.
PPS then won their next match against Finley Public School by 16 points to land themselves a spot in the grand final against Albury’s Trinity Anglican College.
Parkview burst out of the blocks and dominated possession in their forward half, built on the work of a best on ground performance in the ruck from Shaylan Protheroe.
Dakota Boardman, Makayla Connell and Shay Bandy were lively up forward, while Jamielee White bagged two opening half goals for Parkview.
A stoic defensive effort led by Makayla Bradshaw, Tatum Marks, Kristen Bradshaw and Chelsea Paterson had Parkview hold their opponents scoreless and be crowned Southern NSW champions with a 30-point victory. They will now contest the NSW final of the competition on the Sydney Cricket Ground in mid-August.
