Neither side could find the back of the net at the Mia Sports Club, with the match ending in a nil-all draw.
United were hoping to secure there first win of the second round after having already a draw and suffered some defeats.
The club had been hopeful a win would help secure a spot towards the top of the Football Wagga Pascoe Cup competition ladder.
However, it wasn’t to be on Sunday, with the side now desperately searching for that elusive victory.
They will be hoping to do so this weekend when they take on Tumut at Tumut.
United are still in the healthy position of being fourth on the ladder, but are now 10 points behind Henwood Park who are sitting pretty on top.
Lake Albert are in second and Tolland are third.
With bye rounds to come, there remains just four matches left of the home and away season before the finals get underway.
United will be continuing to work on its game plan as the point end of the season approaches.
The club’s second grade side did provide some positive news on Sunday, winning their match 3-0 over Cootamundra.
Third grade won on forfeit.
In what was the game of the round of the Pascoe Cup competition, Tolland unseated Lake Albert from the competition’s mountaintop with a 3-2 victory at Rawlings Park.
The breakthrough for the Wolves came when co-coach Kyle Harrison finished a beautiful headed assist from teenager Nick Tsipiris in the 30th minute.
Tsipiris was again the chief architect behind Wolves’ next assault just four minutes later, expertly setting up Jaiden O’Brien to claim a surprising 2-0 lead.
Tolland then carved out a near-unthinkable three goal lead just moments into the second-half, Jason Cuttle thumping a lofted ball into the back of the net.
Tolland co-coach Kyle Harrison said his side had discovered a new level of intensity and was using it to their advantage.
“We’ve found another gear,” he said.
“I think we discovered it in our wins against Wagga United and Leeton a few weeks ago and it’s working for us.”
