The Hawks league tag side put in a much-improved effort over Yenda last weekend.
After going down 30-0 against the Blueheelers in round one, the Hawks got closer in round two.
While it was still a 24-14 loss, the side gave Yenda a run for their money. The Hawks have been the big improvers of the league tag competition this year.
They are currently sitting fifth on the league tag ladder, just two points behind their cross-town rivals in the Greens. Last weekend Leeton got the points thanks to the bye, using the break to recharge and the season nears finals.
It will be the Hawks turn this weekend to sit out and take a week off for the bye. The Greens will return back to No. 1 Oval on Sunday where they will face the Waratah Tigers.
It should be an easy victory for the Greens, with the Tigers languishing on the bottom of the ladder having won just the one game this season.
However, no team is to be taken lightly in the competition, especially one that has nothing to lose, but could still impact the finals hopes of the sides above them. TheGreens will push hard on Sunday to try and break through to the top three.
