Leeton will take on Wagga City at home on Saturday in what is the final round before finals.
Club president Bart Challacombe said the side continued to keep a lid on their success this season.
“The focus is still very much on Saturday’s game against Wagga City,” he said.
“We already know we’ve got the week off after that, so that’s when the attention will turn to the finals.”
The last time the two teams met was at Conolly Park in May where the Phantoms were victorious 34-12 over the Boiled Lollies.
The Phantoms have had another good week at training, according to Challacombe. “The boys are all keen to get out their Saturday and keep their unbeaten record for the season,” he said.
“City are a good side. Their scrum is the best in the competition. We’ll have to be on top of that and do what we can to get the ball out to our backs.”
It will be a big day for the Phantoms, with second grade fighting for a top three finish over the first-placed Boiled Lollies. It will also be the club’s annual charity round, which this year is supporting Country Hope.
Last year they raised a considerable amount for the Cyclone Winston recovery and clean up. Special jumpers will be worn for the match, which can bought by players and supports. Gate takings and raffles will also contribute to the fundraising, with the community encouraged to head down and be part of the day.
