After receiving yellow cards last weekend, Scott Munro, Adam Raso and Frank Alampi are all out suspended.
Raso will also sit next week out after receiving his sixth yellow card.
This is on top of Carlo Trifogli who will miss this week due to suspension after sitting out last weekend’s match against Cootamundra.
Nick Trifogli remains out injured.
United’s suspension woes are something the club would like to address with the Football Wagga referees.
“We do want to have a bit of a chat just so we can get on the same page … we don’t want to seem like we’re whingeing, we just want to get a clear picture of what should and shouldn’t be done,” assistant coach Joe Trifogli said.
“There doesn’t seem to be consistency all of the time.”
Trifogli said the suspensions would be put on the back burner this weekend as the team focused on defeating Tumut on their home turf.
The Tumut field is known to be one of the more difficult tracks to play on, but Trifogli said it was important for the team to focus on the job at hand.
United are yet to win a game in the second round, having drawn various matches and lost others.
Leeton are clinging to fourth spot on the competition ladder, but are hoping a win would give them some breathing room.
“Cootamundra are just below us by a couple of points, so we definitely need a win on the weekend,” Trifogli said.
“The pleasing thing about last weekend against them (Cootamundra) was that even though it was a draw, we didn’t let any goals in.
“We need to make sure this weekend we take our chances and really push hard.”
The side will be bringing several reserve grade players up for the match.
Trifogli wasn’t concerned about the long road trip, but said the team would need to play good football if they were to get the win they’ve been searching for.
“It’s crucial for us and all of the players know that,” he said. “Everyone knows what they need to do, so hopefully it can all come together on the day for us.”
