Mrs Warren has spent much of her life in Leeton having moved to town with her parents from Parkes when she was 18 months old.
After attending school in Leeton, she was unsure what she wanted to after graduating from high school.
She decided to study radiology, but after a year decided it wasn’t for her and moved to Sydney.
After that Mrs Warren had the travel bug and headed to the United Kingdom and Europe.
It was there she met her future husband John and the pair returned home to Leeton and were married at the St Peter’s Anglican Church.
“I think John thought I had brought him to the middle of nowhere,” she said.
“After we were married we moved to Sydney, then Port Macquarie before coming back to Leeton in 1995 with (their son) Liam, who was one.”
Mrs Warren said the best part about living in Leeton was its people and their generosity.
“Whenever someone needs help, everyone joins together to fundraise or do what they can,” she said.
“It might not be everyday of the week, but I feel like we are a community that is always helping each other out.”
Mrs Warren now works at Leeton’s Amcal Chemist, but outside of her employment she enjoys being part of the St Peter’s church family, music and other interests.
She has been involved in many organisations, including the Leeton High School P&C, the church and, this year, will be volunteering her time after work to assist with the Leeton Eisteddfod’s music section.
Having experienced life in the city, Mrs Warren said there was no better place to raise a family than in Leeton.
She was hopeful younger generations would consider moving back to Leeton after having moved away to seek further education.
“I think we can take for granted the ease of the lifestyle sometimes,” Mrs Warren said.
“I do think it’s such a great place to live and to raise a family.
“There’s always ups and downs in life, but you get that anywhere.
“Leeton will always be our home. We’re very lucky.”
