The game was neck-and-neck, but it was the Crows who fell by two goals to the Turvey Park Bulldogs at Leeton Showground, 52-50.
It was a must-win match for the Crows as they continue to fight for a spot in the finals.
While it is still mathematically possible for them to reach the top five, they will need to win this weekend against Narrandera, who are sitting in that vital fifth position.
They will also need to overcome Coolamon and can rely on the bye points the following weekend.
Narrandera will need to lose the remainder of their matches for Leeton-Whitton to jump into their spot.
The performance from the Crows last weekend was one of their best this season. The Bulldogs are always a tough match up, but the Crows stuck to their guns, despite the two-goal loss.
Leeton-Whitton’s A reserve, B grade and C grade will all be making finals appearances this year in their bid to claim their respective premierships.
