LUCKY DAY: May Cameron won the lucky draw this week for L&D ladies bowls.

L&D: The first round of our pairs championship was played last Thursday. 

Lorraine Mullins and Lorraine Messner defeated Estella Errey and Wilma Alexander 18/14, Kathy Marks and Joan Bourke defeated Jean Leighton and Marika Pete 20/10 while Joan Lloyd and Jan Walker defeated Hillary Chambers and Janet Bell 26/7.

The semi finals will be played on Thursday, August 24.

The drawn winners last week were Lorraine Mullins and Lorraine Messner, the lucky draw was won by May Cameron, and Kathy Marks and Betty Bandy scored a resting toucher.

J Bell, L Mullins, D Semmler, J Walker, E Sullivan, J Lloyd, P Wakeman and J Heness our regional pennant teams travelled to Bateau Bay this week to compete in the state pennants finals. Happy bowling ladies!

LSC: It was a great day for bowling in winter sunshine. Winners for the day were Diane Colyer and Ann Chant while runners up were Margaret O’Leary and Marie Stiller.

Entries for Minor Singles are now being taken by recording names on list on board. Interested bowlers for Presentation Day at Hay are also asked to write names on list on board.

The next round of the drawn pairs will continue this week.
