Judy McLean and Elwin “Lou Brown” were both inducted into the club’s hall of fame recently.
Brown’s achievements started as a player before joining the executive and as a committee member.
He was the Leeton AFC head trainer for more than 10 seasons, groundsman for nine years and the trainer for the junior and senior divisions.
The Riverina Football League under 17s best and fairest medal is named in his honour, as well as the Crows’ function room. He has many other achievements to his name.
McLean has had a long association with the Leeton Redlegs and the Leeton-Whitton Football Netball Clubs.
She was made a life member 1989, received the clubperson of the year award in 1995, as well as the netball clubperson of the year in 1999.
For 25 years she washed three grades of football jumpers and was also a member of the junior football committee for eight years. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary for 24 years. The list goes on for McLean, who was also involved with the netball club from 1998 to 2000 and was instrumental in establishing new courts.
