Mr Morphew is the adjudicator of music at this year’s Leeton Eisteddfod and he said the talent on show had been second-to-none.
“You may have heard the same song many times in one day, but it’s the first time that particular competitor has performed it,” he said.
“You have to go in with fresh eyes to every performance. It’s what each [performance deserves.
“The standard has been very high this year. I would love to see more people in the audience. That’s what a performance is all about. Having a crowd to play to and have them enjoy it.
“I love coming to Leeton. It’s a great eisteddfod.”
The eisteddfod continues at the Roxy Theatre with ballet starting on Sunday.
