Police believe a 19-year-old man visited a supermarket on Wamoon Avenue on August 13 and used a counterfeit $50 note.
He later visited a supermarket on Irrigation Way on August 18 and used another counterfeit $50 note.
He attended Leeton Police Station and handed over counterfeit notes, which he purchased online, but it is believed there could be more in Leeton.
The notes are distinguishable by Asian text in blue or red ink where the clear window should be on each note.
They may also have two parallel broken lines running diagonally across the note.
