The Crows have the bye this weekend and, unlike their football counterparts, they don’t receive points for the week off.
A grade would still have needed Narrandera to lose to leapfrog into fifth, but it wasn’t to be and the side will finish sixth this season.
Last weekend the Crows headed to Coolamon to take on the Hoppers, in what was a clean sweep of victories for Leeton-Whitton.
The result was a 32-goal victory to the Crows in A grade.
Co-coach Caryn Deaton was disappointed the team hadn’t been able to seal a top five spot and move onto finals, but she was pleased they finished the season with a win.
“To win by 30-odd goals was good, but we are disappointed to not make finals,” she said.
“I think the draw didn’t really help this year and there were a few games at the start of the season we probably should have won.
“It is disappointing, but the good thing is A reserve, B and C will all be playing finals.”
A reserve will finish the home and away season in second, while B and C grade will be named the official minor premiers once this weekend’s games are completed.
The under 17s were the only other side to miss out on the finals, also finishing in sixth position like their A grade counterparts.
The focus for the club will now be on those teams, with intensity to be picked up at training.
Both B and C grade will have the next fortnight away from the court as a result of the bye and finishing on top of their respective ladders.
A reserve will likely take on Turvey Park in the first round of finals.
