THE Leeton Under 15s Junior Crows are through to the big dance.
Leeton played Narrandera in Ariah Park for the chance to move into the big dance and pick-up a well-deserved week off to freshen up.
Captain Coopa Steele won the toss and elected to kick with the breeze.
In a physical game, the Crows had to pull out all of their tricks.
The third quarter was the highlight as they piled on five goals to two.
The last quarter had the Crows kick into a stiff breeze and control the game by locking it into our forward line giving Narrandera minimal opportunities to attack. Jye Doyle and Reece Grundy showed were outstanding. Julian Werner led well, while Sam Harrison and Jackson Wood were very productive.
James Buchannan played another consistent game and found a new position in the backline where he set play up well.
The Crows were able to come away with a 11.10.76 to Narrandera 4.3.27.
Their grand final opponents will either be the Eagles or Griffith Red.
Under 13s
THE under 13s Crows faced off against the old nemesis in Griffith Red for a spot in the grand final last week, but fell short by seven points.
They were one goal behind at half-time with coach Howe rallying his troops. At three-quarter-time they led by one point.
The team fought very hard to hold on, but eventually fell short in the 43-36 defeat.
The boys now need to pick themselves up in readiness for a do or die game against Narrandera on Sunday.
Under 11s
THE under 11s had their first loss of the season in their semi-final against Ganmain on Saturday. In windy conditions it was a tale of poor conversion for the Crows.
The Crows fought hard to keep the Lions out, but were overwhelmed in the end by the Lions aerial dominance, defensive pressure, and ability to kick goals from their chances.
Shannon Lehmann, Callan Nicholls, Jude Clayton, James Rourke, Tallis McMillan, Harry Seymour, and Jack Crompton played well.
The Crows have another opportunity to book a grand final spot against Temora on Sunday.
