Students used the opportunity to dress as their most favourite and beloved characters, with many of the costumes dropping jaws during the school’s annual Book Week parade.
“We had 400 children participate in beautiful conditions, with some outstanding costumes presented by the children and a massive crowd on hand to enjoy the celebrations,” Parkview Public principal Travis Irvin said.
There was everything from fairies and witches to Thing One and Thing Two and more.
Staff even got in on the fun by dressing up on the day.
Book Week aims to encourage children to read, as well as realising the magic of story telling that lies within the pages of the written word.
