Each year across Australia, the Children’s Book Council of Australia brings students and books together to celebrating Children’s Book Week.
During this time schools, libraries, booksellers, authors, illustrators and children celebrate Australian children's literature.
The importance of reading is highlighted throughout the event.
Students delighted at the opportunity to dress as their favourite characters and find out a little more about them when deciding what to wear.
Schools across the shire have been participating in the week and the Leeton library will be holding its Book Week fun later in September.
