The Leeton Public School student recently represented with the Riverina side at the NSW PSSA state soccer carnival held in Sydney.
Charlie was selected in the Riverina team after progressing from the Leeton-Narrandera PSSA side.
All up, she was one of 14 to be part of the team, with 120 trying out along the way.
It was her second consecutive year making the team and she said the competition was again strong.
“It was an amazing experience,” she said.
“We came 13th out of 14th, but I thought we had a good carnival.
“As a team we don’t get to train much as a group before going, so I thought we played really well. The competition was very tough.”
The year 6 student is a regular on the representative sporting scene, with cricket also one of her favourite sports.
“I like the competitive side of the (state) carnivals,” Charlie said. “You really get to push yourself and see where you’re at.”
