Saturday Men: The course was in perfect condition last Saturday and the scores certainly reflected it. Shane McInnes was in red hot form, firing an 80 of the stick! Giving him a total of 46 points, good enough for him to take out A grade over Mark Del-Gigante who had a very respectable 43 points, shooting just 2 over par. B grade was a bit more of a subdued affair, Andy Thornburrow just getting it over Glenn Huckstepp, both with 40 and 39 points respectively. Club Champion Scotty Turner clearly had his weapons dialled in as he took out the NTPs on the 4th, 6th and 15th; Tim Commins taking out the 13th. Drive and chips were A Grade- Bailey Stanmore, B Grade- Jamie Brown and C Grade- Reece Maguire. Ball comp went to 36 on a count back.

Saturday Women: The women played an American Foursomes on Saturday that certainly reaped a wide range of interesting scores. Jenny Day and Jenelle Sullivan were triumph on the day with a nett score of 71 2/8ths just getting it over Viv Burton and Serena Jablonskis who had a respectable 72. Deidre Ross took and NTP on the 4th and it was Viv on the 13th.
Wednesday Whackers: Rob Roulston took out last week’s Wednesday Whackers with a total of 39 points that had everyone covered pretty easy, John Howe was the runner up with 37 on a countback. The pro’s smile was from ear to ear only having to award one ball for the day as he came in with 37. NTP’s were as follows 4th- Steve Webb, 6th- Jason Nardi, 13th- Scotty Turner and the 15th- Owen O’Callaghan.
Wednesday Women: Jenny Day continued her startling form last Wednesday taking out the stableford with 39 points. Pam Bowyer was the runner up with 36 points. Jenny clearly had the driver working well as she took out the A grade Longest Drive, B grade- Bev Fitzsimon and C grade- Elaine Henman
Monday Veterans: Johnny Martin was the day’s Captain and the Winner of the day! Marto’s 40 was 2 clear of Norm Harrison on 38 with Harry Soley also breaking his handicap returning 37. Joe Cassone and John Kellahan were the nearest the pin winners. Vets are asked to get their Vets Week of Golf Nominations in ASAP, entries close on Sept 29th.
Upcoming events: Next Saturday will be a stroke event for the men and the Summer Bowl 18 hole event for the women. Callaway will be in town for a fitting day on Thursday 28th Sept if anyone would like a FREE fitting.
