It’s been a long time coming for the Crows, with the club in its current form having never won a premiership.
After the heartbreak of losing last year’s decider, the Crows have bounced back to be an even better side.
More recruits have joined the club and their young brigade has put in performance-after-performance all season.
All of this adds to a town that is 100 per cent behind the club, with busloads and cars by the dozens expected to make the trek to Narrandera Sportsground on Saturday to cheer their team across the line.
“I’ve told the boys to really embrace the week, but we have been trying to keep a bit of a lid on things,” coach Jade Hodge said.
“It’s been a bit tricky because there’s so much hype around town, which is absolutely fantastic.
“We’ve got the best supporters around and having such a huge following on Saturday will definitely help.”
The Crows will rate themselves on Narrandera Sportsground, with the large oval working to their favour and game style.
With a recent good track record against Collingullie-Glenfield Park, Hodge knows the only thing left to do is put in a solid four-quarter effort across the park.
“It’s been business as usual the last two weeks,” he said.
“We haven’t changed anything up. It’s the end of the season, so we’re not changing anything.”
Hodge was reluctant to single any one player out to stand up on Saturday.
“I’ve said all year it’s up to the 22 blokes out there to play their role,” he said.
“If everyone can get their job done, we’ll be right in the contest and I’m fully confident we can get the win.
“I want the boys to embrace the day, but we all know there is still a big job to do.”
