Six of the seven Riverina League coaches not involved on Saturday have tipped a Leeton-Whitton grand final victory.
Collingullie-Glenfield Park won their first 10 games this year and claimed the minor premiership, but the Crows’ finals form to date has grabbed the attention of coaches.
Mangoplah-Cookardinia United-Eastlakes coach Travis Cohalan has tipped the Crows in a close one.
“I am expecting a close game, especially if the temperature is as warm as expected, as that will suit CGP,” Cohalan said.
“Leeton has recruited exceptionally well over the past few seasons and the majority of its playing list boasts plenty of maturity and experience.
“Leeton has hit form at the right time of the season and has the benefit of having been training at Narrandera Sportsground. If the forwards can kick straight they should have too much firepower.”
Outgoing Ganmain-Grong Grong-Matong coach Luke Sicker agrees.
“I think Leeton have got the perfect mix of inside midfielders and outside runners,” Sicker said.
“And there last month gives them plenty of momentum.”
Wagga Tigers premiership coach Shaun Campbell is the only one behind the Demons.
“They have been the form side all year and shouldn't be underestimated after one below average performance,” Campbell said.
“One cold day doesn't make a bad summer.”
