Seventy-three per cent say they are to likely to vote for Shooters, Farmers and Fishers candidate Helen Dalton.
Sixteen per cent say they are likely to vote for National Party’s Austin Evans.
Ten per cent say they are likely to vote for Country Labor’s Michael Kidd.
Betting agency Sportsbet, however, still see the Nationals as favourites. Their market on the winning candidate is as follows:
Austin Evans (Nationals) – $1.72
Helen Dalton (Shooters) – $2.10
Peter Robinson (Independent) – $15.00
Michael Kidd (Country Labor) – $26.00
Brian Mills (Independent) – $34.00
Ray Goodlass (Greens) – $67.00
The Murray by-election will be held on October 14. Pre-poll voting commences Tuesday October 3.
