After winning the toss and electing to bat Caleb Watson (22)and Angus Crelley (15) got the Ferrets off to a great start with an opening stand of 40 before Crelley was run out and Watson was trapped in front by Soli Fili (1/39).
The fall of Watson brought Hayden Mahalm to the crease who along with Ryan Mahalm put their heads down and got their side well on the way to a competitive total with a partnership of 86. By the time Ryan fell for 57 after he was caught off the bowling of Tye Clancy (2/24), the Ferrets were 4/146.
Clancy returned to dismiss Hayden for 75, but it did little to slow the scoring with Ryan Newman (11) and Jonte Schmetzer (8) keeping the scoring ticking over with a quick 20 run partnership. The fall of Schmetzer saw the Ferrets innings come to close on 9/210 after their 35 overs.
The Phantoms got off to a flying start in reply with Tye Studholme (20) and Brent Lister (87) putting together a 106 run opening partnership before Studhome was dismissed by Watson (2/39). After three quick wickets fell Vula Wate (49*) and Lachlan McMaster (24*) guided the side to a four-wicket win with nine overs to spare.
Yanco Cricket Club maintained their good start to the season knocking over defending champions Narrandera.
Rhyan Carter (71) and Anthony Mandaglio (58) lea the way for the Stags who recovered from a slow start losing three wickets for 34 runs before Mark Doyle (23) and Mandaglio came together for a 57-run partnership. Carter and Jason Burke (11) provided some late runs to help boost the side towards their finishing total of 9/203 off 35 overs.
Narrandera never really got going as Jono Schofield (16), and David Kroek (16) were the only Carpheads to get starts as they were eventually bowled out for 72 with Kyle Pete (2/19), Carter (2/12), Josh Lanham (2/14) and Nick Carn (2/0) sharing the wickets.
In the final game, the Soldiers Club and L&D Team B played out a low scoring game with Matthew Clough (33) and Micheal Keech (35) helping the Colts set a target of 84.
The Ferrets were never able to get going as only Scott McDonald (21) was able to get a start to see the side get bowled out for 58.
