After winning the toss and sending Yanco into bat, The Phantoms were looking to make an early impact and were able to claim Matt Dedini (8) with the score on 12.
Nathan Tang (14) and Hugh Collins (34) looked to get their side moving forward before Tang was dismissed by Lachlan Hamilton (1/14) bring Nathan Lanham to the crease.
The pair put on 58 runs for the third wicket to get the side to 90 before both Collins and Lanham in quick succession.
Grant Forrest and Angus Boulton were able to keep the score ticking over with another over 50 run partnership before Kal Poulsen (2/25) picked up the wicket of Boulton after he was caught by John Gray and followed it up a couple of balls later when Jameson Booth was caught by Tim Rolls.
Forrest (51) kept the score ticking along when he passed the half-century mark and along with Josh Lanham (13) ensure the Stags would post an imposing total of 9/180 off their 40 overs.
The Phantoms looked to hit the ground running with Haydn Emerson (16) and Brent Lister (8) coming out to face the new ball.
Lister was bowled by Pantano (1/16) before Emerson and Rolls (9) put together a partnership of 23 runs before the Phantoms lost three quick wickets with Angus Boulton (2/16) picking up two wickets and Kyle Pete (1/16) picking up one.
Jordan Camm (19) and Rolls came together too but on 24 runs for the fifth wicket but the dismissal of Camm when he was caught off the bowling of Collins (4/6) by Nathan Tang it triggered a collapse which would end The Phantoms chances.
Matt Dedini (2/6) and Collins proved to be a combination too difficult to deal with as Rolls, Richard Keith (1), John Gray (0), Poulsen (7) and James Morrow (0) followed Camm back to the pavilion in quick succession to see them lose 6/10 to be bowled out for 73 in 25 overs.
The Stags will look to continue their unbeaten start to the season when they take on LSC Colts at Yanco Sportsground next weekend while The Phantoms will make the first trip to Narrandera to take on the Carpheads.
