The Lions will be again donation cakes to charity groups within Leeton in an attempt to ensure that no one misses out this year on a festive favourite.
Acting Club President, John Wadsworth said funds will be going to deserving local causes.
“A donation of the cakes will be made to the Salvation Army and St Vincent de Paul for use in their Christmas hampers that they distribute around town.
“We also donate cakes to the Leeton Community Christmas party to use during annual Christmas lunch” Mr Wadsworth said.
“Lions will again support Pinnacle Community Services by donating a box of Christmas cake slices to be distributed to their clients when Meals On Wheels deliver their Christmas meals.”
Pinnacles Community Services co-ordinator Tanya Lewis said it’s a special time of the year where all kinds of residents appreciate getting into the Christmas Spirit.
“Meals On Wheels clients love receiving the fruit cake slices at Christmas,” Ms Lewis said.
“They look forward to them every year. It’s great to see the smiles on their faces.
“We are lucky to live in such a generous community.”
