Winning three of these awards would rate her alongside the great Makybe Diva, it’s just unheard of in these parts and to be fair hasn’t happened since Daen Jarema did it back in November 2013. Pity some of Daen’s talents didn’t rub off on the great Munchausen’s captain although he did lead them to a flag last year.
Other good rounds were had by “Wild Bill” Wakeman and Ben Curley 30, Lindsay Fysh and the returning Ashley Collins 31, John Kellahan and Mick Doolin 32 and Michael Pygram, Taylor Walker Treddinnik, Benny Elwin, Tommy Tiffen, Craig Townsend, Kabe Stockton, Marcus Wynn and Greg Gale rounding out the mentions on three under Par 33s. The ball comp again stretched out to 34 or better.
The team of the round was a clear decision with the Crowaholics putting up a rip snorter last Thursday night an 18 under Par nett 162.
Wok’s back mustn’t be half as bad as he says although his and Toddy Henman’s 36 nett Par rounds didn’t even get included. Wild Bill and Curls’s nett 30s were backed up by Benny Elwins 33 and Neilo’s 34 which was matched by the Club Champ who could only manage 3 birdies last week. The next best team effort came from The Flintstones 171 and both Crunch and Balls Deep on 172.
Teams who’ll find the going get real tough over the next few rounds due to handicap reduction are Balls Deep, BTCP, Crowaholics and the Insiders. Swig N Swing and the Whymees felt the wrath last week and will endeavour to get in with a team Par score of 180 from here until Christmas to make Division 1. This weekend has no restrictions as long as you avoid between 10am to 1pm on Saturday.
