Steeped in 54 years of tradition, this event is organised by the Italian Catholic Committee each December.
Committee treasurer Maria Punturiero said those memories were some of her best.
“I have lovely memories of the Festa Della Madonna growing up. It’s part of why we want to keep it going,” she said.
“I’m looking forward to seeing everyone enjoying themselves.”
Tradition will meet festive spirit as Leeton’s Italian Catholic Leeton prepares for their annual Festa della Madonna Immacolata.
The event kicks off with a mass at St Joseph’s before a procession of a statue outside of the church and into Mountford Park.
“It’s a good day out for the family. There’s lots of food, children’s activities,” Ms Punturiero said.
After the procession, the community is invited to celebrate at Madonna Place for a BBQ dinner with drinks, Italian biscuits and gelato.
