The weekend was hot with the mercury hitting 37 degrees on Saturday and 38 on Sunday.
The days leading into the weekend were slightly cooler, but above average for spring temperatures
Thursday got to 33.9 degrees and Friday was 35.8.
For Leeton shire for the remainder of the week it is looking like a mixed bag.
On Monday the temperatures was expected to reach 34 degrees before 35 on Tuesday and 34 on Wednesday.
Rain could also be on the horizon, with the Bureau of Meteorology (BoM) predicting an 80 per cent chance of 20 to 40 millimetres of rain falling on Friday.
For the summer ahead, the BoM has forecast summer daytime and overnight temperatures will likely be warmer than average for most of the eastern two-thirds of Australia.
For December, parts of the north and most of the southeast are likely to have warmer than average days and nights.
Overnight temperatures are also likely to be warmer than average in central Australia but cooler than average along parts of Queensland's east coast.
