L&D: Jan Walker and Betty Bandy were the drawn winners of social bowls last Thursday, while Lorraine Mullins scored a resting toucher two weeks in a row and Shirley Tyack won the lucky draw. The Towning Sheild will be played at the Leeton & District Bowling Club on March 13 and 14. Nominations are now being taken as the closing date for club entries is February 9. Thursday will be our last social meeting for 2017 which will be celebrated with a Christmas lunch and presentation of awards. It was decided to replace the giving of gifts with a cash donation to our chosen charity. Social Bowls will resume January 18 and the monthly meeting is January 25.

LSC: After keen competition and enjoyable companionship the pennants games have concluded with a comfortable win to Griffith/Coleambally. The club would like to congratulate Griffith/Coleambally and all competitors.
Winners for last week were Jan Munroe and Betty Howard with runners up Lee Noble and Laurel Cox. Tomorrow is the final game of bowls for this year. The presentation ceremony following the game. Members are asked to wear club uniform for photographic purposes. The game will begin at 9am. Our Christmas party is at the Soldiers’ Club on Wednesday, December 13 from begins at 6.30pm.
