Percy was the first baby to be born under Leeton District Hospital’s new birthing model, which allows low-risk bubs to be born at the facility under the care of skilled midwives.
Born on December 1, Percy is Joelle and Peter Tiffin's third baby, weighing in at 3380 grams. He is a brother to Sadie, 5, and Jarvis, 3.
Midwife Robyn Fraser was on duty the night he was born, but what made it extra special was she also helped bring the Tiffin’s two other children into the world.
“It was a relief to be able to have Percy in Leeton where my other two children were born,” Mrs Tiffin said.
“It’s fantastic this service is back and I really felt at ease having Robyn there again.
“Everything went well and we’re all home now.”
