Riders travelled from all over to take part in the festivities, which were held at the Narrandera Showgrounds from April 20 to 23.
Camp attracts big numbers

The event was open to all clubs, attracting participants from across the region, including Wagga, Tumbarumba, Temora, The Rock, West Wyalong, Dubbo and Wirlinga.
“The zone committee, as well as Leeton Pony Club were immensely pleased with the success of the camp over the four-day duration with a great attendance of riders,” said club member Keryn Lamb.
Learning experiences on the agenda
Participants enjoyed a range of educational and fun activities throughout the four days.
This included lessons in various disciplines of equestrian sport, including dressage, tent pegging, horsemanship, show presentation/horse decorating and grid work/showjumping.
There was also time to learn more about vaulting, polo cross, cross country, games, horse physiology/anatomy and certificate work.
A trail ride was held to complete the camp.
Riders improve their skills throughout event
“Over the four days the participants all improved their riding capabilities and skills for caring for their horses,” Lamb said.
“On the Saturday a trivia night was organised by two of our young Leeton Pony Club members Bonnie Farrell and Elliane Boulton.
“All children and adults gained new knowledge and many a laugh was had by all.”
Camp not possible without helping hands
The Leeton committee would like to thank all the guest Instructors, the zone committee and Narrandera Pony Club for the use of their grounds.
“(Thanks also to) all the Leeton members who worked tirelessly before hand and throughout the camp and anyone and everyone that jumped in and helped,” Lamb said.
